We are delighted to announce that the symposium” Augmenting Brains 2022”, which our partner company Joy Ventures Ltd. co-sponsored with MIT, was hosted with a great success at the newly opened MIT Museum in Boston on December 9th, 2022. The symposium, which focused on augmenting brain functions, brought together leading researchers not only from the Media Lab and larger MIT community but from different institutions around the world with different backgrounds to present on cognitive enhancement, memory implants, sleep phase areas, and advanced BCI (Brain-Computer Interfaces) development.
Mr. Abhinandan Jain, a researcher in the Fluid Interfaces Group led by the MIT Professor Pattie Maes, who was the lead speaker of the event as well, presented his research on peripheral nerves and cognitive function. This research is one of the research grants from Joy Ventures Ltd. and the possibility of commercialization based on the research results will be discussed in the near future. In addition, Joy Ventures is also collaborating with the MIT Professor Rosalind Picard, a world authority on affective computing and co-founder of Affectiva, and will keep on moving forward with business creation based on advanced science.
